Craigslist singles post art

I thought since the fun part of our online relationship won’t happen until Saturday night that I would provide, hopefully, an interesting story about me that you didn’t know to hold you over. I’ll do it “Golden Girls” style; picture it, Casa Linda area of Dallas – the year was 2005. It was fall and the summer heat was still hanging around – enough so that the summer thunder storms were alive and well. It was Sunday and I had an appointment with a gentleman to take my picture and listen to my online dating story. He had contacted me a few days back through my Craigslist ad – this was when Craigslist was much safer – and told me he liked what I had to say. He is an Artist from NYC and was putting together an exhibit about dating online and how you use your voice and other things. I was actually a bit late getting to the studio he rented because there were a lot of streets closed due to being flooded which made me find alternate routes. All before GPS was really a thing so I had a map - they are made of paper, sometimes thicker paper, and they have streets and stuff on them so you can find your way - but they don't plug into anything and are not an app, but you can fold them up and stick them in your glove compartment for when you need them. When I got there it was like nothing I have ever seen. There was a vintage camera with the accordion portion, but that spread way over to the other side of the room. Amazing. He let me know that he wanted to record me reading my Craigslist post because the people attending the exhibit would listen to my voice and hear the emotion. After that we would take the pictures. It was so strange to use the recording equipment and have to hear my voice talk back to me. I don’t know how y’all do it – I sound like my nose is stuffy and that I have a bag of jelly beans in my mouth. Months later I found the exhibit online and it looked like it went very well. With the people seeing my picture, reading my post, while listening to me read it to them. Really cool stuff.
